For the first time since 1998, Norway will play in the FIFA World Cup this summer in North America.
It’s a historic achievement for the country, which has seen its soccer development skyrocket over the past decade as a golden generation is lifting Norway to new heights.
As they head into the World Cup, Norway isn’t just happy to participate; they have a squad that can do heavy damage in the tournament. While some countries making their first World Cup in a long time or ever are excited to play their three group stage games, Norway is a team capable not only of passing the opening round but of making a deep run.
Erling Haaland will be at the forefront of Norway’s charge across the North American continent, regarded as one of the best strikers not only of the current era but of the 21st century. Once again, Haaland leads all players in the Premier League in goals, having already scored 22 for Manchester City this campaign.
Haaland and Arsenal’s Martin Ødegaard won’t only be traveling over from Europe with tons of momentum behind them after an ultra-successful qualifying run, but they’ll be doing it in style.

On Sunday, the Norway kit for the 2026 World Cup was released, and fans are going crazy over the new look.
“Now this is what we call a good kit,” a fan of the new look posted.
“This is what good design looks like,” chimed in another commentator, also giving the kit a thumbs up. “This right here.
“Norway’s shirts look absolutely sick!” announced another fan, while also hinting at maybe why the look was introduced today. “Also, these two players featured [Haaland and Ødegaard] are gonna play against each other in two hours.
Although most of the comments were positive, some thought the new jerseys were better left in the bin.
“So they just took the flag and slapped a Nike logo. Scam artists.”
