One dead, one critical after after Greater Grand Crossing 2-vehicle crash

A man is dead after a crash in Greater Grand Crossing Saturday night, police said.

The unidentified man was driving a black SUV near the intersection of South Chicago Avenue and 75th Street around 10:40 p.m. when he disregarded a traffic signal and ran into a white sedan, according to Chicago police.

Both drivers were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center. The driver of the black SUV was pronounced dead while and the driver of the white sedan was listed in critical condition.

No one else was injured and the drivers were the only people in each car. Detectives are investigating.
