The man was taken to a local hospital Thursday with a head laceration, according to Boston police.
A man was sent to the hospital with a head injury Thursday night after he was struck by a sign that fell from a concession stand outside Fenway Park, according to Boston police.
Officers responded to 19 Jersey St. around 8:12 p.m. for a radio call about an injured person, a Boston Police Department spokesperson said. By the time police arrived, however, Boston EMS had already transported the man to a nearby hospital with a head laceration.
According to Boston police, the man was wounded by a falling concession stand sign outside Fenway. Boston.com has reached out to Fenway Sports Group for comment.
The man sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and a Boston EMS spokesperson said he was transported via a basic life support ambulance, rather than an advanced life support crew.
The Boston Police Department said its investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
