A small white rescue dog, whose owner has affectionately dubbed him her “gremlin,” complains about being cleaned after every walk, and the internet couldn’t get enough of his complaints.
TikTok user fineboymiki, an account dedicated to the dog, shared the video, which drew more than 3.1 million views.
In the video, the dog—who had apparently just arrived home after his walk—looked up at his owner in anticipation, beginning to growl as she unclipped his glowing LED harness and lifted it over his head.
Sure enough, the next part was his least favorite: She told him to give her a paw so she could wipe them. The dog growled and showed his teeth, but he lifted his paw and allowed her to wipe it off.
When she put her finger in front of his mouth, he licked her finger through his exposed teeth, continuing to growl.
His owner then repeated the process with his other foot as he continued to protest. Once again, he dutifully lifted his foot, and this time he barked slightly as she began to wipe his foot, but once again, he allowed her to do it.
She scratched the sides of his face as he continued to grumble half-heartedly, and he barely made a noise when she wiped his back paws.
By the time she finished and asked him if he wanted to “go get treaties,” he was in a great mood again and hopped up and down at her leg enthusiastically.
‘You’re gonna hear me’
Commenters on the video found the dog’s faux-grumpy demeanor highly endearing.
“He’s the epitome of, ‘I’ll do what you ask but you’re gonna hear me complain the whole time!'” one user wrote.
“100% angry [to] 0% Damage,” another user quipped.
“I like how he’s mad about it but recognizes it has to be done so still lifts his feet up,” a third individual posted.
“That’s a spicy potato,” another commenter added.
Finally, one user summed it up succinctly: “He hates it but he loves you more.”
More Dog Hilarity
Dogs are often hilarious—if sometimes slightly infuriating—companions, as Newsweek has previously covered.

According to the user, the dog had been limping prior to going to the vet. When he arrived home, he zoomed around the yard enthusiastically, with no sign of a limp to be seen.
Another user who adopted a shelter pit bull showed the dog’s heartwarming reaction whenever she petted his head: A big, relaxed smile after a good walk.
Finally, one TikTok user shared her dog’s bizarre method of walking diagonally, which—a veterinarian confirmed—was perfectly fine.
“There is nothing wrong except his personality,” the owner quipped in the caption.
