NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – The Salvation Army is feeding a need for this Easter season.
The organization’s Miami branch hosted a special meal distribution, Thursday morning.
Volunteers worked together to prepare meals and grocery boxes to hand out to individuals and families in need.
“What we’re helping is a full meal for Easter. We have chickens, potatoes, canned foods, even dessert for them. It’s everything that they need, all the components, for a good, substantial Easter meal,” said Salvation Army Miami Commander Major Rebecca Hogg.
Thursday’s distribution is part of a nationwide effort to ensure more families can come together and have a meaningful holiday meal during the spring season.
