RAYMOND, N.H. (WHDH) – Authorities are searching for a man who shot a police officer in Raymond, New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
Officers responding to a report of a man shooting at his family members on Ham Road around 1:30 p.m. located the suspect, who opened fire on them and wounded one of the officers, according to New Hampshire State Police.
The man, whose name has not been released, ran from the scene and a perimeter was established to locate him.
At this time, residents in the area of Ham Road and Nottingham Road have been asked to shelter in place. All others are asked to avoid the area.
The suspect is described as middle-aged white male who is 5 feet 11 inches and 202 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to be on foot.
Anyone who sees someone matching this description in the area should call 911 immediately.
The man is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
