A man was in critical condition after being shot in South Shore Wednesday evening, according to Chicago police.
The man, 24, was shot in his chest, left thigh and back in the 2900 block of East 79th Street at 6:21 p.m., police said in a statement. He took himself to Trinity Hospital and was later transported to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
