A new economic report finds that Harrah’s Resort Southern California, owned by the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, generates nearly a billion dollars of impact in San Diego County.
The study by Los Angeles-based Beacon Economics found that based on 2024 data the tribe’s businesses generated $739 million in economic output, delivering $52 million in tax revenue while supporting nearly 3,000 jobs.
That impact is growing, according to the study, with economic output increasing by 24% over the previous two years.
“Rincon’s 2024 economic impact was 2.5 times greater than in 2010,” said Rincon Tribal Chairman Steve Stallings. “This study affirms our ongoing commitment to our people, our local communities and all Californians.”
“We are proud to share our prosperity, creating more opportunities for everyone including those in need,” he added.
The Valley Center resort, which is owned by the tribe and operated by Caesars Entertainment Corporation, is the economic engine driving Rincon’s tremendous growth.
In addition, the tribe continues to invest in community services on its land, such as fire and emergency protection at no cost to taxpayers. Rincon also supports many nonprofit organizations providing healthcare, food security, homeless programs and veterans assistance, donating $500,000 in 2024 alone.
“The Rincon Tribe is enjoying unprecedented success. This report underscores the critical impact we make every day by generating good paying jobs, dynamic economic activity and important tax revenue,” said Stallings.
