Teen shot and killed in Brighton Park

A teenage boy was fatally shot in the Brighton Park neighborhood early Saturday, police said.

The boy, 17, was walking outside in the 2400 block of West 48th Street around 1 a.m. when a red sedan drove past him and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago police.

The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was initially listed in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
