The View hosts Sunny Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg took shots at former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah after the Bravolebrity sat down for a tell-all interview about her time in prison with Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and disgraced entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes.
The View shared a clip of Shah’s recent interview with People in which she claimed Maxwell showed “no remorse” for the victims impacted by her and Epstein’s sex trafficking scandal. She said Maxwell appeared “so dismissive” when watching victims share their experiences on television in the prison. “That just didn’t sit with me the right way,” Shah said.
Hostin was the first to chime in during Thursday’s (April 2) broadcast as she shared why Shah may not be “the most reliable” source on Maxwell.
“I don’t know if Ghislaine Maxwell has remorse or not. I’m pretty sure she probably doesn’t. But Jen Shah she pled guilty to conspiracy to defraud elderly individuals during telemarketing scheme and was sentenced to like seven years, six-and-a-half years in prison, [she] spent three years in prison and now she’s on house arrest,” Hostin explained. “So I don’t know that she’s the most reliable narrator and a reliable source.”
Goldberg then chimed in. “Is that the new show? House Arrest?” she joked, sparking laughter from the audience.

“It should be because so many housewives have spent time in prison,” Hostin fired back.
Hostin went on to praise Shah for reigniting the conversation about Epstein’s crimes.
“It’s shameful because [Maxwell] may not have remorse for it, but I am happy because at least we’re talking about the Epstein files again,” Hostin said.
She claimed President Trump is “trying to distract us from it.”
“I think that that’s something we need to continue to talk about to get some justice for these survivors,” Hostin said.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
