WASHINGTON (AP) — A U.S. service member who has been missing since Iran shot down a fighter jet has been rescued, according to two U.S. officials who spoke early Sunday on condition of anonymity ahead of an official announcement.
It comes after a frantic search-and-rescue operation. The crew member has been missing since Friday, when Iran downed a U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle. A second crew member was rescued earlier.
