Right after he was hired to be the Longhorns’ defensive coordinator, Will Muschamp came to Austin to observe a practice leading up to the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. Given the team’s situation with more than 20 scholarship players leaving for the transfer portal and opting out of the game, he didn’t have much hope for it.
