A woman was hospitalized after being shot Thursday evening in East Garfield Park, according to Chicago police.
The woman, 40, was inside a vehicle in the 3100 block of West Madison Avenue at 8:01 p.m. when she was shot in the calf, police said. She took herself to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was reported in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
