San Jose police arrest suspect in Black Friday triple shooting at Valley Fair Mall

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — San Jose police have arrested a suspect in the Black Friday shooting that left three people injured at Westfield Valley Fair Mall.

SJPD says they found and arrested the suspect Sunday night. A man, a woman and a 16-year-old girl were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The gunfire sent hundreds of people running for cover inside stores.

The mall reopened to shoppers Saturday with a noticeable police presence inside. Many shoppers and employees came to claim items left behind, even cars that were stuck inside the garage, part of the police investigation.

Police have said the preliminary investigation indicates the shooting incident is likely gang-related.
