LIVE: Car flies off tow truck onto BART tracks along I-580 in Castro Valley, CHP says

CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. (KGO) — An unoccupied car flew off of a tow truck and onto the BART tracks alongside the freeway in Castro Valley Tuesday afternoon, the CHP says.

All lanes of westbound I-580 are closed east of Castro Valley Blvd, and two lanes of eastbound I-580 are also shut down.

BART service has stopped between Castro Valley and West Dublin/Pleasanton due to the obstruction.
