SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Rain has returned to the Bay Area Wednesday for the first time in 27 days.

We will be at a Level 1 storm on our ABC7 Exclusive Storm Impact Scale until 10 a.m. Wednesday morning for light showers
The biggest impact will be slick roads for the morning commute.
Rainfall totals are expected to be less than .10″ and shower chances over around noon.

Afternoon will see some sunshine breaking through the clouds.
Our stormy pattern will continue for the next 7 to 10 days. Here’s a timeline of what to expect:
THURSDAY
We get a break from the rain.
FRIDAY
Level 1 storm – widespread rain arrives Friday night, winds increase.
SATURDAY
Level 1 storm Saturday with overnight, morning showers.
SUNDAY
Level 2 storm Sunday with rain, gusty winds. We are watching Sunday closely for the potential for heavy rain and strong gusty winds.
APPROACHING CHRISTMAS
More rain chances will be with us next week as we approach Christmas. There is a chance these rankings could change as atmospheric conditions evolve during the week ahead.
