LIVE: San Jose officer injured in shooting involving armed carjacking suspect, authorities say

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — A San Jose police officer was injured Wednesday after a shooting involving an armed carjacking suspect, according to authorities.

There is a massive police presence just off Highway 87 near Notre Dame Avenue and St. James.

The officer was taken to a local hospital, but their condition is unknown at this time.

San Jose police say the shooting is connected to a carjacking, but did not elaborate on other details.
