Woman dies from injuries after being struck by vehicle in San Mateo, police say

SAN MATEO, Calif. (KGO) — A woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a vehicle in San Mateo Friday morning, police said.

Police say at 10:30 a.m. they responded to reports of a single vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at 17th Avenue and S. El Camino Real.

First responders discovered a woman with injuries at the scene. She was transported to the hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Police say this is an active investigation and all parties involved are cooperating.

The northbound off-ramp for El Camino Real from westbound Highway 92 is closed as police investigate the scene. Both southbound and northbound S. El Camino Real traffic is also being diverted at nearby intersections.
