SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — The Bay Area will now be in on the action for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Organizers of the games announced Tuesday morning that PayPal Park in San Jose will host some early-round soccer matches for both the men and women.
During the Games, group stage and knockout matches will take place at different sites across the country, moving from the East Coast to the West Coast as the final match approaches.

Final stages will take place at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena.
Along with San Jose, group stage and knockout matches will also take place in San Diego.

Four out-of-state venues were also announced in New York City, Columbus, Ohio, Nashville, Tennessee and St. Louis, Missouri.
Last month, registration for the ticket draw for the L.A. Games opened. Fans around the world can register for the ticket draw through March 18.
