Pig named ‘6-7’ to be pardon by Miami-Dade mayor during 8th annual pardoning

The 8th Annual Pig Pardoning will take place at Latin Cafe 2000 at 10 a.m.

During the ceremony, a pig named 6-7 will be receive a “get out of caja china free” card.

Guests at Latin Cafe will have the chance to eat spinach croquetas and freshly brewed cafecito.

“The Pig Pardon has become one of our favorite ways to open the holiday season,” said Eric Castellanos, owner of Latin Cafe 2000. “It captures the spirit of Miami joyful, diverse, and rooted in traditions that bring people together. Each year, we’re proud to blend culture and compassion in a way only Miami can.”

Miami is known for its deep roots in eating and serving pig during the holiday season.
