Portion of I-95 closed in Miami-Dade due to downed power lines: FHP

A stretch of Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade was shut down on Sunday after power lines fell onto the roadway, officials said.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said the downed power lines fell onto the roadway near Southwest 8th Street.

Northbound I-95 was closed from U.S. 1 to Southwest 8th Street.

Southbound I-95 was closed from Southwest 8th Street to U.S. 1.

The anticipated repair time will be approximately 2 hours, FHP officials said.
