A man was arrested after he allegedly shot his uncle during an argument in Lauderhill on Tuesday, authorities said.
The shots were fired at a residence near the 500 block of Northwest 34th Terrace at around 8:34 a.m.
When officers responded, they made contact with a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment with injuries described as not life-threatening. Lauderhill police said he was in stable condition.
A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, authorities said. His name was not immediately released.
According to a spokesperson, the suspect shot his uncle once in the leg after an argument broke out.
“This was an isolated incident, and all parties who were involved are accounted for at this time,” police said in a statement.
