A driver was arrested after a large amount of drugs were found inside his car during a traffic stop in Plantation, police said.
The incident happened when the driver didn’t stop at a stop sign in the 700 block of South State Road 7, Plantation Police officials said Saturday.
The driver, whose identity wasn’t released, told officers he didn’t have a license and a records check showed not only was his license suspended but he was on probation for armed carjacking, police said.
But when officers searched the vehicle they made a more shocking discovery: 178 blue pills designed to look like Oxycodone but which were actually fentanyl, along with four crack cocaine rocks and several clear plastic bags, police said.
