Two Hallandale Beach Police officers were injured during an altercation with a suspect on Sunday, officials said.
The incident began when an officer responded to the 400 block of Northwest 7th Street for a crash report, Hallandale Beach Police officials said.
A physical altercation ensued and more officers responded to assist, officials said.
Two officers and the suspect were injured and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said the officers had lacerations and abrasions, and the department said they were in stable condition.
The suspect was taken as a level two trauma, BSO officials said.
The identities of the officers and suspect weren’t released.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
