Man found dead in Plantation hotel parking lot after reported shooting: Police

Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a Plantation hotel’s parking lot after a reported shooting Saturday night, officials said.

Officers had responded to a report of shots fired at the Hampton Inn at 7801 Southwest 6th Street near the Broward Mall, Plantation Police officials said in a social media post late Saturday night.

When they arrived, the officers found a man dead in the parking lot.

POLICE ACTIVITY:

Officers responded to a report of shots fired at 7801 SW 6th Street (Hampton Inn). Upon arrival officers located a deceased male in the parking lot.

Detectives are on scene working to identify the victim and any potential suspects.
