A Broward County woman is facing charges after authorities said she stole more than $1.2 million from a Deerfield Beach business and spent the money on expensive jewelry, mansion rentals and a trip on a private jet.
Keshon Litesha Rivers, 32, was arrested Wednesday on charges of organized scheme to defraud, grand theft of more than $100,000 and money laundering, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Authorities said Rivers ripped off the owners of Event Décor Direct from May to August of 2025.
Rivers had a working relationship with the company as the owner of her own business, Lock and Key Designs, officials said.
After stealing the money, Rivers made dozens of fraudulent transactions, spending over $85,000 on gold and diamond jewelry, over $55,000 on a private jet flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, and over $43,000 for mansion home rentals in Miami Beach and Los Angeles, authorities said.
She even created a fictitious person who she tried to blame for the fraudulent credit card purchases, but detectives quickly determined the person didn’t exist, officials said.
Rivers was arrested and booked into jail, and was being held without bond Thursday.
Officials said Rivers is already on probation until 2030 on similar organized fraud charges out of Polk County.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them at 954-480-4300.
