Man in critical condition after overnight shooting in Brownsville

An overnight shooting in Brownsville sent a man to the hospital in critical condition, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, just before 8:00, deputies received reports of a man shot at 3500 NW 51 St.

Once at the scene, deputies found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and he was taken to the hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue in critical condition.

The man’s identity was not released.

An investigation into the shooting remains active.
