On day four in Milan Cortina, things picked up with nearly double the medal events as any day so far. Team USA started off the day with two silver medals in men’s freeski slopestyle and men’s cross country ski individual sprint, and a bronze in alpine skiing women’s team combined.
Later in the day, Ashley Farquharson won a bronze in the women’s single luge, and Team USA won a silver in mixed doubles curling. Team USA won 5 medals, bringing their total to 7 so far.
Ilia Malinin capped the day by winning the men’s short program and qualified for the free skate.
