A suspicious phone call prompted a lockdown at a school in Pembroke Pines on Wednesday, police said.
Officers responded to Pembroke Pines Charter High/Academic Village after the suspicious phone call was received by a staff member, Pembroke Pines Police officials said.
Police said there were no active safety threats on campus, but a lockdown was initiated as a precaution.

Officers were conducting a campus search and some students were gathering on the football field.
