A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested following a criminal investigation involving the FBI, officials confirmed Thursday.
Details were not available, but jail records show that Reserve Deputy Joshua Passman faces charges of public servant falsifying an official document, obtaining property communication over $300 by fraud, forgery/alteration of a public record certificate, and grand theft.
BSO confirmed Passman was arrested following an investigation by its public corruption unit, the FBI’s public corruption squad and the U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General.
Passman’s status as a reserve deputy has been terminated, BSO said.
