A shooting in Pembroke Pines left one person in the hospital and another in police custody on Friday morning, authorities said.
Pembroke Pines police said they responded to a call from a man who said that he had been involved in a shooting. The investigation closed Johnson Street between University Drive and Northwest 78th Avenue as authorities responded to a condo building there.
One person was taken to the hospital for injuries described as not life-threatening, and another was taken into custody, according to police.
Residents described the gunfire as the result of a dispute between neighbors, but police have not confirmed that information.
NBC6 crews watched surveillance video that appeared to show what led up to the shooting. In it, a man in a white Honda CRV gets out of his vehicle and approaches a man in a black vehicle, punching him multiple times. The man being hit gets out of the black vehicle, and within seconds, is shot.
The investigation continues.
