Two suspects arrested in Texas in connection with the murder of a man at a Broward boat ramp have been extradited to South Florida, records showed.
Jayden DeJesus, 19, and Trevon Quinones, 18, were booked into Broward’s main jail on Monday on charges of first-degree murder with a firearm and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, records showed.

DeJesus and Quinones were detained in Texas following a traffic stop earlier this month in connection with the killing of 22-year-old Hunter Howell.
The murder investigation began on Feb. 1 when deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the West Broward Boat Ramp at 3451 North U.S. 27 in unincorporated western Broward County, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Inside the vehicle was the body of Howell, whose death was determined to be a homicide.
It was also determined that Howell, of Pembroke Pines, had been killed on Jan. 31. Officials didn’t give a possible motive for the murder but BSO detectives developed probable cause for the arrests of DeJesus and Quinones.
Howell was the youngest of three children as well as an uncle and a new father, said family members who described him as loving and selfless.

“He touched so many lives, all different types of families,” his mother Linda Howell told NBC6 earlier this month. “I’m going to miss him so much, so much, he was my little boy.”
The two teens who allegedly murdered Hunter were only acquaintances, the family said.
“That was too easy for them, and it was meaningless, and that means you’re ruthless, you’re heartless, and you’ll do it for the rest of your life if you didn’t do it along the way to Texas,” Linda Howell said.
The family said they still don’t know the full story, but they are thankful that the detectives found the people who they believe are responsible for Howell’s death.
“I feel at peace, it doesn’t bring him back, but it does give my mom and our family a little bit of justice and hope that these people are off the street,” his sister, Cheyenne Howell, said.
