Crash shuts down Turnpike near Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County

Traffic was halted on Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County due to a crash and police activity on Thursday.

The incident happened on the southbound side of the Turnpike between Broward and Sunrise boulevards.

Official information was not available.

Footage from Chopper 6 showed paramedics attending to a person on the side of the road.
