Bicyclist hit by school bus in Davie: Police

A bicyclist had to be rushed to the hospital after they were hit by a school bus in Davie, police said.

Authorities said officers responded to the crash at the 7900 block of Nova Drive.

The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Their identity was not immediately revealed.

Police also did not provide information about the driver of the school bus, or what may have caused the crash.

The westbound lanes of Nova Drive, just west of University Drive, are shut down. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes.

The investigation continues.
