Two men are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in South Miami, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
South Miami police responded to a home at 5711 Twin Lake Drive at around 2:55 p.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting, according to the sheriff’s office.
There, they found the bodies of two men who had been shot. One man was in his 40s and the other was in his 60s.
“MDSO Homicide detectives responded and took over the investigation,” the sheriff’s office said. “One of the males was suffering from a self inflicted gunshot wound, which has led detectives to believe this incident to be a domestic related murder-suicide.”
The identities of the men and their relationship to each other were not immediately revealed.
The investigation continues.
