Suspect flees on foot after stealing dump truck in Miami, police say

A suspect fled on foot after allegedly stealing a dump truck in Miami Thursday morning, police said.

Miami Police officials said the owner of the dump truck woke up and realized the vehicle was gone.

He was able to track it down thanks to a GPS tracker and found it in the area of Northwest 17th Avenue and Northwest 66th Street, police said.

The owner and officers arrived and confronted the suspect, who ran away on foot, police said.

Officers were searching the area for the suspect.
