Authorities are searching for a driver after a woman was struck and killed in a hit-and-run in West Park early Monday, officials said.
Deputies responded to the incident around 6:45 a.m. in the area of Barry Road and West Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
When deputies arrived, they found the woman lying in the roadway. She was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Officials haven’t released the woman’s identity.
Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating and seeking information about the vehicle involved.
