Authorities say a man was killed when he was hit by a wrong-way driver in Pompano Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at 3000 West Sample Road on April 11 at around 3:29 a.m.
Authorities said the victim, Nicholas Addis, was traveling in a 2025 gray Hyundai Tucson westbound on West Sample Road when he was hit head-on by a driver going the wrong way behind the wheel of a 2006 gray Nissan Pathfinder.
Detectives said both vehicles were traveling on Florida’s Turnpike overpass in the center lane when they collided.
The wrong-way driver was identified as 47-year-old Sult President.
President was rushed to the hospital suffering from “possible life-threatening injuries,” BSO said.
It was not immediately clear if he would be facing charges.
BSO said the investigation is ongoing.
