3 people hospitalized, school on lockdown after shooting in NW Miami-Dade

Three people were hospitalized after a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade on Thursday, officials said.

The shooting was reported near the 2100 block of Northwest 75th Street.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews responded to the scene and brought three adults to a local hospital as trauma alerts.

Nearby Lillie C. Evans Elementary School was placed on lockdown as a precaution, Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials said.

No other details were immediately known.
