One person was airlifted to the hospital on Saturday morning after a pickup truck crashed into the back of a semi-truck on Interstate 75 in Broward County, deputies said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, fire rescue crews arrived at the area near I-75 and Indian Trace Boulevard.
At the scene, rescue crews found one person trapped inside the pickup truck, and they were extricated from the vehicle.
The person was then taken to the hospital as a trauma alert.
Deputies said the person remains in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The westbound lanes on I-75 have since been closed.
The Florida Highway Patrol will be taking over the investigation.
