Truck rollover crash blocks lanes on Florida’s Turnpike north in Broward

A truck crashed and overturned late Monday in Broward County, and the clean-up still has lanes closed on Tuesday morning on Florida’s Turnpike.

The Florida Highway Patrol said it responded to the vehicle crash with injuries in the northbound lanes at Exit 49 for Hollywood Boulevard and Pines Boulevard.

It was not immediately clear who was injured, or what their condition might be.

Aerial video showed the truck lying in the embankment below the roadway, its contents spilled out onto the grass.

One lane was closed, along with the on-ramp to the Turnpike from Hollywood Boulevard.

Drivers are advised to take U.S. 441 or Interstate 95 as an alternate route as crews continue to clear the debris.

A separate crash on the Turnpike northbound before Interstate 595 is also causing delays with two lanes blocked off. The preferred alternate route in that incident is I-95.
