Sever thunderstorm warning issued for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward, NWS says

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties on Sunday, the National Weather Service said.

According to the NWS, the severe thunderstorm warning will remain in effect until 5:45 p.m. in Miami-Dade and 6 p.m. in Broward.

The following areas under the warning include the following in Miami-Dade.

• Miami
• Hialeah
• Kendall
• Doral
• Miami Lakes
• North Miami
• Miami Shores
• Coral Gables
• Westchester

The following areas under Broward include the following:

Fort Lauderdale
Sunrise
Lauderhill
Oakland Park
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
Lauderdale Lakes
Riverland

Nickel-sized hail is also expected is some area.
