LAFD crews rescue man, dog and cat from river in Sunland

A man and two animals were rescued Wednesday from an RV that was trapped in a river in the area of Sunland, the LAFD said.

LAFD Air Operations were called in around 6 p.m. after firefighters were unable to access the individual in distress.

A man in his 50s, along with a dog and a cat, was safely hoisted to safety by the helicopter crew. No injuries were reported.
