Firefighters battle blaze at South El Monte business

Firefighters are battling a second-alarm commercial fire in El Monte, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Crews were called to the area of Tyler Avenue and Fineview Street at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for a fire at a commercial building. It’s unclear what led up to the blaze.

A large, dark gray plume of smoke was seen billowing over the scene as firefighters battled the blaze. It’s unclear if any injuries occurred in connection with the fire.
