Hundreds of demonstrators descend upon downtown LA to support protesters in Iran

Law enforcement in downtown Los Angeles is warning the public of major traffic delays in downtown as a demonstration in favor of the Iranian people is underway.

Hundreds of people descended upon downtown Los Angeles on Saturday as part of a permitted march to express support for protesters in Iran. As a result, the Los Angeles Police Department said the following streets may experience major delays:

• Figueroa Street between 2nd Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue
• Flower Street between 2nd Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue
• Olive between 2nd Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue
• Grand Avenue between 2nd Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue
• Broadway between 2nd Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue
• Spring Street between 2nd Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue
• Main Street between 2nd Street and Aliso.
