Deputies in standoff with person in Santa Clarita neighborhood

Deputies are involved in a standoff Wednesday with a person at a residence in a Santa Clarita neighborhood.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the individual might be armed. The standoff began just before 9:30 a.m. in the 22000 of Pamplico Drive in the community north of Los Angeles.

Video showed at least four sheriff’s department patrol SUVs positioned on a street corner outside a home.

Details about what led to the standoff were not immediately available.
