If you’re traveling late-night in the San Fernando Valley this week, Caltrans said motorists should expect delays along Topanga Canyon Boulevard/State Route 27.
Starting overnight Tuesday, planned striping work will shut down up to two lanes — in both directions — on SR-27 between Devonshire Street and Mulholland Drive.
Caltrans said the lane closures will run from as early as 7 p.m. to as late as 6 a.m. daily, this Tuesday through Friday.
Motorists should use alternate routes during the construction, drive with caution, and follow all posted signs and speed limits. Caltrans said nearby residents and businesses could experience noise, vibrations, and dust tied to the road work.
The work is part of Caltrans’ ongoing project to repave more than 60 lane miles of SR-27. The project, which spans 18 miles on SR-27 from PCH to Devonshire Street, also includes upgrades to curb ramps and crosswalks, traffic signals, and pedestrian push buttons.
The $59.5 million project is expected to be completed in fall 2027.
