The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are set to renew acquaintances next week, but the Packers may have suffered a horrendous loss.
According to multiple reports, including from NBC Sports’ Mike Florio and ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it is believed that pass rusher Micah Parsons tore his ACL in Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos.
Parsons will undergo an MRI, and if the injury is confirmed, his season would be over.
Parsons was acquired by the Packers just before the regular season, and has been at his usual dynamic self, with 12.5 sacks and 39 combined tackles in his first 13 games of the campaign.
It is expected the Packers will offer an update on Parsons’ condition Monday as they begin preparations to face the Bears in Chicago.
Kickoff for that game is set for 7:20 p.m. Saturday, and the contest will air on Fox.
