Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love walked to the locker room after he was hit by Chicago Bears defensive end Austin Booker Saturday.
Love was able to walk off the field under his own power after the hit, but a short time later he walked to the team’s locker room accompanied by trainers.
The Packers announced at halftime that Love will not return to the game after being diagnosed with a concussion.
On the play, Love was stepping up in the pocket when Booker burst toward him on the pass rush. The players ended up going helmet-to-helmet, with Love lying on the ground after the play concluded.
Booker was assessed a 15-yard penalty for roughing the passer, and Love walked to the locker room.
Malik Willis came into the game to replace Love on the drive, and will remain at quarterback the rest of the way.
We will update this story with more details as they become available.
