Two teens were arrested and face multiple felony charges after they allegedly attacked and seriously injured a 62-year-old man on a CTA bus.
According to Chicago police, the man was riding a bus in the 700 block of South Cicero Avenue on December 16 when he was attacked by multiple assailants, who then fled the bus.
After police released photos of suspects, at least two have been taken into custody in recent days. Police say a 15-year-old was charged with aggravated battery of a victim over the age of 60, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, and aggravated battery of a transit employee, all of which are felonies.
She was also charged with attempting to steal a vehicle in the 5600 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue Sunday, which is where she was arrested, police said.
Another 15-year-old was also charged with multiple felonies in the assault, with police taking him into custody on Monday.
No further information was available, and it’s unknown if police are seeking additional suspects.
